I have been baking cakes all day and needed to have a break.

I used to actually love baking in the past but now that I’m a little older it has become somewhat of a chore. Not that I’m complaining but sometimes bending down is hard on my back.

The kids will be coming back next week and I want to be sure that the place is tidy and that there are plenty of goodies. I have to share this blog with my grand daughter because I am what she calls “technophobic”. ???

Ironically, I do like to make gingerbread men, I don’t know if it’s because they are cute…or what.. gut I get a kick out of them. And those German Hansel and Gretel houses with icing and candy…how pretty!

We have decided to have a goose this christmas because Jims girlfriend will be coming from Germany and we thought he would feel more at home. Apparently they celebrate Christmas on the 24th which I never knew. But I suppose people are different all over the world.

I still don’t know what type of jelly or sauce goes well with goose. My neighbor suggested orange or red wine sauce but I’m not so sure…I think that’s more for duck.

Anyway, I better get back to the kitchen.
